#IWD2025: Sui Ching Leading with Heart and Transforming Healthcare
20 March 2025
The journey in healthcare goes beyond business—it’s about service, purpose, and the impact we leave on others. For Sui Ching, healthcare is more than just a career; it is a meaningful and fulfilling commitment to making a difference in the lives we touch.
"My path into healthcare management wasn’t a direct one. I started working in laboratories. However, as I pursued my MBA, I transitioned into sales and marketing, business development and eventually administrative and operational roles within a healthcare setting. That was when I realised—this was where I belonged. With the right guidance and support, I found the journey to be both rewarding and humbling.
Serving in healthcare means serving humanity. Every decision, no matter how small, has the potential to change someone’s life. This field is a continuous learning experience, and I’ve discovered that my strength lies in leading and inspiring others. I’ve also been fortunate to have incredible mentors—leaders who have shaped my perspective and taught me valuable lessons.
One of the most important things I’ve learned is that nothing is permanent. Change is constant, and every decision we make should leave a positive impact on those around us.
As women, balancing our desires, passions and responsibilities requires dedication and sacrifice. But I take pride in growth and the lessons that shape me into a better version of myself. Every experience has been a stepping stone, reinforcing my belief that when you do the right things, you will do things right.”
This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the passion, dedication, and sacrifice of women everywhere. In healthcare, women are not just caregivers—they are leaders, decision-makers, and changemakers, shaping the future of patient care and inspiring the next generation to step forward with confidence.
