How Does It Work?
- All cells, both cancerous and non-cancerous, shed DNA into the bloodstream.
- As cancer progresses, the amount of ctDNA in the blood increases, making it a potential cancer biomarker.
- The test detects specific mutations in ctDNA related to particular cancers.
- This information helps guide further diagnostic steps.
- False negative or false positive results may occur, meaning the results do not completely rule out or confirm the presence of a tumour.
What to Expect During the Procedure
- 10 ml of blood will be collected.
- Your extracted DNA from the plasma will be processed using Next-Generation Sequencing to analyse methylation profile and multi-features of the DNA.
- Receive your test results in approximately 30 days.
