Meet Our Paediatricians and Children’s Specialists
Paediatrics is a specialist field that addresses the medical needs of infants, children, and adolescents, usually up to the age of 18. Paediatricians, also known as children's doctors or children's health specialists, adopt a holistic approach to care. They aim to minimise the adverse effects of paediatric health problems and issues while allowing children to live as normal a life as possible.
In addition to treating children when they are unwell, paediatric specialists offer a range of services, including vaccinations, regular health assessments, and preventative care. They are trained to manage and treat various childhood diseases and conditions, such as hand foot mouth disease, whooping cough, colic in infants, and asthma. Developmental paediatricians focus on developmental disorders and work closely with families to support children's growth and development.
Whether it's a routine check-up or specialised care, paediatric doctors are dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of children.
