Patient Testimonials

  • quote

The wonderful world that I had built shattered and collapsed the day I was diagnosed with stage 3 nasopharyngeal cancer. Of all the people in the world, why did it have to be me? After all, I didn’t smoke, I didn’t drink and I didn’t indulge in any other vices! I couldn’t accept it at first; nor could my husband. However, once we began to calm down, we realised that it was crucial to get the right doctor to treat my disease immediately. We chose Sunway Medical Centre’s Dr. John Low Seng Hooi as my treating oncologist in the end.

It turned out that Dr. John was the angel I didn’t know I needed on the path of recovery. His kindness and patience gave me the confidence I needed to overcome the obstacle. He told me that the stage of cancer I was in was irrelevant, and he convinced me that I would make full recovery with Sunway Medical Centre’s state-of-the-art equipment and technology. Slowly, my confidence began to return. I started to realise that being diagnosed with cancer didn’t have to mean the end of the world. Dr. John told me the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, and with his encouragement, I started to pick up bits and pieces of my life again.

I would like to extend my sincerest gratitude to my treating oncologist, Dr. John Low Seng Hooi. Thank you, Sunway Medical Centre and thank you, Dr. John Low Seng Hooi!
