Types of Cancer
Our cells are the building blocks of our body. When the growth process of the cells goes wrong, it forms a mass called a tumour and a malignant tumour is cancerous. There are more than a hundred types of cancer, and the symptoms vary depending on the types. In Malaysia, it is known as the most lethal killer among all diseases, with several types of cancers being the contributors to the high mortality rate each year.
Breast Cancer
Breast cancer occurs when breast cells grow uncontrollably. It can occur in both men and women.
Colorectal Cancer
Colorectal cancer is a type of cancer that forms in the colon or the rectum. Some of the risk factors of colorectal cancer include low-fibre diet, obesity, smoking and lack of physical activity.
Lung Cancer
Lung cancer happens when a malignant tumour forms in the tissue of one or both lungs. People who smoke have the greatest risk of lung cancer.
Lymphoma Cancer
Lymphoma cancer begins in the infection-fighting cells of the immune system. It can occur at any age, even in children.

Liver Cancer
Liver cancer activates in the cells of your liver. Symptoms may include a lump or pain in the right side below the rib cage, abdominal swelling, yellowish skin and easy bruising.
Ovarian Cancer
Ovarian cancer happens when a cancerous growth is found in the ovary. Symptoms may include discomfort in the pelvic area, changes in bowel habits and a frequent need to urinate.
Prostate Cancer
Prostate cancer occurs in the prostate - a small gland in men that helps nourish and transport the sperm. It is one of the most common types of cancer in men.
